WESTconsin Credit Union (“us,” “we,” or “our”) may collect, use, protect and share your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated into and made part of this Online Privacy Policy (“Policy”), and this Policy supplements our Privacy Policy where applicable.
This Policy explains what personal information we may collect about you from our websites and mobile applications (each a “Site” and collectively the “Sites”). Our mobile applications are listed in the respective App Stores as WESTconsin Credit Union for consumer use and Business Connect for business use. WESTconsin Credit Union provides the website in the domain WESTconsincu.org and WESTconsin Online (online banking) in the domain WESTconsincuhb.org which is also represented in the use of “Sites as stated above. This Policy also explains how we use, protect, and share personal information we collect from the Sites.
WESTconsin Credit Union may collect, use, protect and share information about you from a variety of sources, including from you directly, for your use of our financial services and products, from your communications with WESTconsin employees, from your use of our websites or WESTconsin Credit Union’s mobile applications and from third party sources.
Your access, use, or interaction with a Site means you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy. When you use our products or services or otherwise provide us with your personal information, you acknowledge and consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in this Policy, subject to appliable law and other notices you may have received based on your membership with us.

- This may include and is not limited to usernames, alias, PIN, passwords, security questions and answers, and biometrics when accessing mobile applications.
- Site Usage Information
- This may include and is not limited to time and date of access and exit, referral data on how you reached the Site, length of visit, pages or sections view withing the Site, links clicked, third party sources accessed, and other interactions with the Site.
- Device Information
- This may include and is not limited to unique device identifiers (e.g., IP address), browser type, device type and network, geographic location,
- Mobile Applications such as WESTconsin’s Mobile App and WESTconsin’s Business Mobile Application should you choose to use them may collection certain information from the application and your mobile device, including but not limited to geographic location information, unique device identifier information, and Site data.
We may collect this information through cookies, floodlight tags, web beacons, tracking pixels, heatmaps, and/or similar tracking technologies, and log files. Website data alone (i.e., when it is not associated with other personal information) is not deemed to be personal information.
Some features of a Site and/or mobile applications may request access to data located on your device, this may include biometrics, camera, images, contacts, and geographical location data. This access will be requested through an on-screen prompt, and if access is not allowed, the feature requiring that data will not be fully functional.
We use “cookies” on our Sites. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our Sites and identify repeat visitors to our Sites. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our Sites. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site. The usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our Sites.
WESTconsin Credit Union does not seek to collect, nor does WESTconsin Credit Union knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our Sites are not marketed to individuals under the age of 13, and we request that these individuals do not provide personal information through our Sites.
Third Party Sources
We may provide products, services and links to other websites including but not limited to credit bureaus, service providers, card processors, merchants and business partners. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave our Sites or mobile applications to read the privacy and security policies and terms and conditions of other websites that may collect personally identifiable information. Please be advised that if you should enter into a transaction on the third-party website, WESTconsin Credit Union does not represent either the third party or you.
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our Sites across devices. We have implemented the Remarketing and AdWords feature of Google Analytics. The Remarking feature allows us to serve you relevant advertising on third party websites if you have visited our Site, however accessed, but does not personally or directly identify you. AdWords allows us to manage our advertising and collect information about your visit to our Site. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ad Settings. We may use third-party providers to process personal information for business purposes on our behalf. Third-party providers are contractually obligated to comply with our policies to protect personal information that we share with them or that they collect on our behalf.
To protect you, we may use tools and services provided by third parties to help us decide whether to accept submissions from personal computers, mobile phones or other devices. These third-party providers may check whether user devices have been identified with fraudulent or abusive transactions in the past, such as reported instances of identity theft, account takeovers, or malware attacks. For this purpose, a cookie, flag storage token, or other code file may be placed on your device to identify it in the future when you visit our website or connect with our online applications. We cannot promise that we will be able to always protect your personal information and in all circumstances.
